We are dedicated to this cause by offering scholarships to those who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, strong leadership qualities, and active community involvement. Overview
Scholarships play a pivotal role in making education accessible and affordable for students in our community. The North Fulton Alumnae chapter offers two scholarship programs which aim to recognize and support exceptional academic achievement, leadership skills, talents, or financial need, empowering deserving individuals to pursue their educational goals. Our Community Scholarship - Encourages African American / Black graduating senior females to achieve excellence through higher education. We will award scholarships to young women who exemplify academic excellence, strong leadership, and community involvement. Immediate family of North Fulton Alumnae Chapter (NFAC) are not eligible to apply for the community scholarship. Our Legacy Award Scholarships - Specifically for financial members of the North Fulton Alumnae Chapter (NFAC), with children graduating from high school this spring.

Do I qualify?
7 Requirements for Community Scholarship 1. Applicants must be female high school seniors residing in or attending school in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Dunwoody, Duluth, Suwanee, Peachtree Corners, Norcross, Canton, or Woodstock. 2. Applicants must enroll and attend an accredited college, university, or post- secondary institution to pursue a degree. 3. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 4. Applicants must provide letters of recommendation. 5. Applicants must participate in an interview. 6. Immediate family of North Fulton Alumnae Chapter (NFAC) members are not eligible to apply for the community scholarship. 7. Applicants must be Black / African American.

How to apply?
Submission Instructions for the NFAC Community Scholarship 1. Click Apply NOW button below to Complete and Sign Scholarship Application - Both student and parent/guardian MUST sign the online application. 2. Submit a typed essay in response to the following prompt: - Please describe a significant challenge you have faced or an accomplishment you have achieved that has positively impacted your community. In your response, consider the following questions: 1. What was the challenge or accomplishment, and what motivated you to take action? 2. Why was this experience significant to you and your community? 3. What lessons did you learn from this experience that will influence your future endeavors? The essay must be 2 pages maximum, and the applicant's name typed in the upper right-hand corner of each page. In reviewing the essays, the judges will consider the following criteria in selecting winners: content & relevance, organization, style/creativity, grammar/ mechanics, and impact/personal voice. 3. Submit Two Letters of Recommendation on Official Letterhead - One letter must be from a teacher or other school official. The other letter must be from someone you have known for over a year (non-family member). Letters are required to be typed, printed, signed, scanned, and saved in PDF format. File naming convention should be applicant's LastNameFirstInitial_NFAC Scholarship.pdf (e.g. JonesA_NFAC Scholarship.pdf). Applicants can upload recommendations by stated guidelines within the online application or send the recommender the following link (https://www.northfultondst.org/recommendation-submission ) 4. Send Transcript Link to School Official. Copy the following link ( https://www.northfultondst.org/transcript-submission ) and submit to your School Official. Your School Official must submit a completed Transcript Submission form. Please request your transcript and letters of recommendation as soon as possible but no later than December 19th. This will give your school officials sufficient time to process your request. An application will be considered incomplete if the transcript is received after January 15, 2026.
